Enriching your cats’ environment will help keep their minds and bodies healthy, and in many cases can prevent unwanted behavior issues, such as urinating outside of the litter-box. Spending 5 – 10 minutes a day engaging your cat with a toy will help strengthen the bond you have with him/her. It will also keep your cat active, which influences his/her emotional and physical well being. Providing areas where it is appropriate to scratch and climb is another way to appease your cat’s natural tendencies.
